The Broncos Junior Varsity team won the Red Dirt League Championship this past weekend.  They defeated Carl Albert High School 3-0 in the finals to win the Championship.  This concludes a very successfull summer schedule for them where they won 2 tournaments (Red Dirt Championship,  Chickasha Tourny) and finished with a final record of 20-4.  Congratulations to Coach Tim Sullivan and all the players.  Job well done. 

We would like to recognize our baseball partners that we compete against during our Spring season for their participation in the Oklahoma State Tournaments.    We especially want to congatulate Coach Wayne Dozier and his Carl Albert Titans for winning the Class 5A Championship, Coach Lonny Cobble of Edmond Santa Fe and Coach Brad Gore of Chickasha  for their teams appearances in the State Tourny Championship games.

The Broncos Parent Advisory Commitee announces a partnership with Johnnies Charcoal Broiler to raise funds for our program.  Johnnies will pay a portion of meals bought by a Bronco family or Bronco supporter from any of their 7 Oklahoma City area locations on the 4th monday of each of the next 7 months ( FEB 23, MAR 23, APR 27, MAY 25, JUNE 22, AND JULY 27).  Please mark your calenders and invite your friends to eat at Johnnies on those dates.  When you place your order you must tell them you're "eating for Broncos baseball." 

  

2009 HWSA WEST REGIONAL CHAMPIONS

The OKC BRONCOS is an organization founded to provide home schooled students an opportunity to play competitive baseball.  Team members are Junior and Senior High home schooled students from the greater Oklahoma City area.  With a goal of teaching young men the game of baseball with an emphasis on serving Christ. 

The Broncos compete against local private and public schools in the Spring and have teams competing in the Red Dirt League in the summer.  The Broncos have competed in several National Tournaments and most recently won the 2006 HOMESCHOOL WORLD SERIES in Pensacola, Florida. 

The Broncos home field is located at 7198 N. Grand Blvd. in Northwest Oklahoma City.  Although the field is leased from the Oklahoma City Parks Department the Broncos are responsible for the upkeep and management of the field.  Since 2004 numerous improvements have been made. New fencing has been put up,  sprinkler systems installed, dugouts built, and more improvements are on the way.

II schools you need to read the  requirements posted on the NCAA website.  You can go to www.ncaaclearinghouse.net to get the information.  Click on "prospective athletes" and scroll down to the home school information.  This information is valuable as you prepare transcripts and take the ACT and SAT tests. To see a list of courses click on APPROVED COURSES icon from the left column.  Enter school code 969999 and enter Oklahoma in state box.  Click on submit.
